About this collection
Stereoscopic postcards were a popular form of entertainment in the late 19th century. This collection of B.W. Kilburn prints has been in my family since the 1890s. It has passed down through the generations, and now belongs to me. I have digitized this collection in order to make it available to my family, and to the rest of the world. Marginalia has been noted as an artifact of family history. The collection also serves as a testament to nineteenth century American stereoscopic photography, a nearly-forgotten pastime.
