The Heritage Alive collection is focused on the presence of the United Church of Canada in British Columbia. The selection of items presented here are from the BC Conference Archives and include slide transparencies and 19 pages of text transcript from audio recordings also available at the Archives. The photographs were taken between 1959 and 1979 and were intended to capture newly constructed and older churches in rural B.C. communities. The additional textual document is a transcript from an interview done with Reverend W.R. McWilliams, the pastor of the Japanese United Church in New Westminster, B.C.
