This image collection consists of 75 items that were gifted to the Bill Reid Gallery by Bill Ellis (1922 – 2002), the founder of Canadian Native Prints and a close friend of Bill Reid. Ellis and Reid collaborated on the production of a wide range of textual material featuring Reid's work, from limited edition prints to promotional products. The items in this collection include pamphlets, invitations, cards, brochures and photographs that range in date from the 1970s to the 2000s. The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art is a public gallery located in downtown Vancouver, Canada showcasing the art of acclaimed Haida artist Bill Reid (1920 – 1998). Reid was a master goldsmith, carver, sculptor, writer, broadcaster and spokesman and the pivotal force in introducing to the world the great art traditions of the Haida peoples of the Northwest Coast.
