About Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Born in Tibet in 1939, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche settled in the United States in 1970, transmitting ancient Tibetan Buddhist teachings to Western audiences until his untimely death in 1987. Chögyam Trungpa articulated the Shambhala Vision in which basic goodness is the birthright of all humans. According to Chögyam Trungpa, humans can awaken to their basic goodness through sitting meditation.
