About

Stereoscopic postcards were a popular form of entertainment in the late 19th century. This collection of B.W. Kilburn prints has been in the Gowen family since the 1890s, and has been digitized in order to make it available to family members. Marginalia has been noted as an artifact of family history.

The collection is the result of a project by Elise Gowen, a student of the School of Library, Archival, and Information Studies at the University of British Columbia. The project was developed in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the class LIBR 582: Digital Images and Text Collections.
